OSA brings optical industry voices together at Autumn Members’ Meeting
The Optical Suppliers Association (OSA) is bringing members together at the Bloomsbury Hotel in London this October for its Autumn Members’ Meeting, with a packed programme covering regulation, industry developments, digital interoperability, business trends and Dry Eye.
Taking place on Friday 16 October 2026, the event will give OSA members the opportunity to hear directly from key industry voices, ask questions, share views and find out more about the work being carried out by OSA and Opticare Innovations on behalf of the optical supply sector.
The day will open with member networking, providing an opportunity to catch up with colleagues and make new connections before the formal programme begins.
OSA Chair James Conway will welcome members and provide an update on the Association, followed by a regulatory briefing from OSA Consultant Mathias Semombwe, covering the latest MHRA news, EU developments, PFAS and other issues relevant to the optical industry.
With 100% Optical 2027 already on the horizon, Celsa Vazquez and Tasmine Othman from Closer Still Media will provide an update on the forthcoming show and take questions from OSA members.
Keeping members up to date on OSA’s work
Karl Jeebaun, CEO of Opticare Innovations and OSA Director, will provide an update on current initiatives, including DICOM and National Datasets, as well as collaborative initiatives with other organisations across the optical sector, including ABDO and the College of Optometrists.
Digital interoperability remains an important area of work for OSA, with the Association continuing to bring stakeholders together to support greater collaboration and practical progress across the sector.
The programme will also look at practical ways businesses can communicate and engage with their audiences, with Siu-Yin Shing, founder of My Glasses and Me, sharing her experience of current and future trends and providing practical advice on blogging for your business.
A closer look at Dry Eye
The afternoon will focus on Dry Eye, with a dedicated discussion panel moderated by Michael Bowen of the College of Optometrists.
The session will provide an opportunity for members to hear about current developments and contribute to the discussion, including the latest work of the OSA DICOM Committee.
The meeting will close at approx 3pm, but the conversation will continue with a dedicated networking event, giving members the opportunity to meet OSA Directors and fellow members until 5.00pm.
