OSA Members Meeting – 24 March

March 18, 2021

OSA Chair Stuart Burn will be delighted to welcome members to this first members’ meeting as the OSA on Wednesday 24 March at 10.30am via Zoom.

There will be full briefing on topics such as the sale of  199 Gloucester Terrace, an update on the postponed 100% Optical exhibition and how we are moving forward as the OSA.

Once again, the OSA are delighted to confirm that Ann Blackmore will give members a short update on the current situation with regards to MDR/UDI and other post Brexit issues that may affect many OSA members.  A Q&A afterwards will give members the chance to ask Ann anything that is of particular concern with reference to these topics. The European Commission published the final version of their Q&A document which clarifies that spectacles will be considered ‘mass produced adaptable medical devices’ and this will also be discussed. You can see this document here https://ec.europa.eu/health/sites/health/files/md_sector/docs/mdcg_2021-3_en.pdf.

OSA members should contact [email protected] for full agenda and  how to register to attend this meeting.
